The mapping of SANDS’ suppliers and business connections has been carried out in relation to SANDS’ size, type of business, the context SANDS works within, and the degree of severity and probability of negative consequences for human rights and decent working conditions from SANDS’ business.

How have we worked with requirements of due care and assessing risks?
The work is based on principles relating to risk-based approaches and proportionality, and SANDS has assessed risk, degree of severity and probability pursuant to the type of risk and negative consequences and has ranked the suppliers based on this.

What are the results after this year’s investigations?
The goal of due diligence is to avoid damage. We experience that risk and probability of damage is low from our suppliers and business connections. We have not uncovered any negative finds, resulting in additional measures not being necessary.

How will SANDS work with the Transparency Act in the future?
Over many years, SANDS has worked according to the same principles that are fixed by law under the Transparency Act. The result of our investigations under the Transparency Act shows that the work has been both correct and important. SANDS will continue to focus on how our business affects people, both within and outside our firm.
