Bjørn-Ivar Bendiksen

Bjørn-Ivar Bendiksen has particular expertise within fisheries/aquaculture law, contract law and company law. He works with the seafood industry and other maritime industries and is deputy chairman of SANDS’ fisheries/aquaculture department. He also assists private companies within property/contract law, and he has experience from a number of major disputes.

His assistance includes contract drafting, negotiations, dispute resolution before the courts/arbitration court, company law assistance and contact with authorities in administrative processes.

Within fisheries/aquaculture, Bjørn-Ivar assists in administrative processes against the fisheries/aquaculture authorities, area issues and location clearances, issues related to permits, operation/sanctions, industry-specific contracts, new construction, transaction of business/rights/equipment and other issues within the industry.

Bjørn-Ivar has been a deputy judge at the District Court in Tromsø and is an examiner in contract law subjects at the University of Tromsø.
