Petter Bjerke has over 20 years' experience of assisting clients in particular within finance, e-com/telecom, media and health/life science as well as traditional retail and e-commerce. He advises clients in legal areas such as intellectual property (IP) law, commercial agreements and IT and data privacy/GDPR and cyber security.
Petter has assisted businesses from start-ups to global actors related to cross-border issues relating to commercialisation and distribution of technology, services and goods as well as digital content such as software and media (TV and movie productions). Within IT, Petter has assisted in numerous projects related to outsourcing and procurement of IT (SaaS, PaaS, etc.) and IT operations/managed services. Within IP, he provides strategic advice relating to the establishment and protection of intellectual property rights and trade secrets, employee inventions, confidentiality agreements, licensing and transactions as well as the handling of intellectual property rights in various joint-venture and research and development (R&D) projects.
For many years, Petter has assisted clients with privacy/GDPR and cyber security, from the establishment of accountability documentation and risk assessments related to use of personal data in a commercial setting including implementation of artificial intelligence (AI). He has also assisted numerous clients in the event of data breaches or supervision from Data Protection Authorities. Petter has been a DPO for a global pharmaceutical company and course instructor for annual update courses for DPOs in the public sector under the auspices of KS. Petter is also the network leader in the JUC network for Cyber Security.
